Stories over Supper - Winter '17

For the Stories over Supper - Winter '17 edition, we are excited to be partnering with Feast of Merit to once again celebrate sustainable food enterprises, support local producers and share deliciously seasonal foods. 

Hosted by The Social Food Project, this unique story-telling event will be held at Feast of Merit in Richmond, where guests will hear the inspirational story of YGAP and the work they are doing to support local impact entrepreneurs who have launched ventures to improve the lives of people living in poverty. 

Dinner is $55 and will include a three-course share-style meal with a strong focus on local winter produce, underscoring the importance of knowing where our food comes from. Food will once again be prepared by chef Ben Mac (previously SupernormalTop Paddock and Clooney NZ). 

Drinks will be available for purchase from the Feast or Merit bar. 

You can expect generous and innovative food, inspiring stories from local legends and a uniquely fun dining experience. 

We are more than just talk here at the Social Food Project! We will be donating $250 to YGAP to help them continue their amazing work.

Stories over Supper is back!

For the Stories over Supper - Autumn edition, we will be partnering with the wonderful STREAT to celebrate sustainable food enterprises, support local producers and share deliciously seasonal foods. 

Hosted by The Social Food Project, this unique story-telling event will be held at the new STREAT Cromwell Venue in Collingwood, where guests will hear stories from individuals and organisations that are working for change in the community.

The food once again will be prepared by chef Ben Mac (previously SupernormalTop Paddock and Clooney NZ) and include a three-course share-style meal with a strong focus on local autumn produce, underscoring the importance of knowing where our food comes from. 

We will be in safe hands with Tim O'Donnell of PDR who will be selecting a range of wonderful wines and coordinating the drinks service. 

Cost of dinner is $90 and includes 3 courses with matching wines (non-alcoholic drinks option available).

You can expect generous and innovative food, inspiring stories from local legends and a uniquely fun dining experience. 

We are more than just talk here at the Social Food Project! We will be donating $250 to STREAT to help them continue their amazing work offering youth a supported pathway from the street to a sustainable livelihood.

Stories over Supper - Spring Edition

Stories over Supper is a truly unique and interactive dining experience in which guests hear stories from individuals and organisations that are working for change in the community.

Hosted by The Social Food Project, this story-telling event will once again be held at Grub, in the beautiful greenhouse surrounded by edible plants. 

The food will be prepared by chef Ben Mac (previously Supernormal, Top Paddock and Clooney NZ) and include a three-course share-style meal with a strong focus on the local spring produce, underscoring the importance of knowing where our food comes from. The dinner will also feature surplus produce supplied by Yume Wholesale with excellent wine matches by Tim O'Donnell of PDR.

The guest speaker for the evening is Jessica Christiansen-Franks, CEO of Co-Design Studio. Jessica is an urban designer and landscape architect who has spent the past decade looking into the social impact of urbanisation and regeneration projects across Australia, Canada, UK and Asia. Her work with Co-Design aims to create great places that build social connection and inclusion.

Cost of dinner is $85 and includes 3 courses with matching drinks (non-alcoholic drinks option available).

We are more than just talk here at the Social Food Project! 10% of the ticket price will be donated to the AFSA Legal Defence Fund to help support local farmers and improve food systems in Australia.
