Farmer to Table Dinner V

We are delighted to be hosting our fifth Farmer to Table Dinner! Once again, we are teaming up with CERES Community Environment Park to deliver another unique dining experience centered around our amazing local producers. 

The format is simple: 3 farmers, 3 courses, 1 exceptional experience. 

The cost of dinner is $75 and includes 3 generous share-style courses which highlight 3 ethical local producers and a small goodie bag to take home.

Highlighted producers to be confirmed soon.

Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase at the CERES bar. 

The evening will include a panel Q&A with the three producers, so come prepared with some good questions! 

Expect innovative, generous food and lots of amazing company. We are happy to cater for any and all dietary requirements.

The Great Local Lunch

The Great Local Lunch

The Great Local Lunch is Australia's biggest crowd-farmed feast and a feature event of the National Sustainable Living Festival. 

All of the ingredients for this free four-course banquet are grown or gleaned by the guests themselves and crafted into a completely original menu by innovative local chefs who will not know what produce they will get to work with until 24 hours before the Lunch. 

Hosted by Costa Georgiadis, from ABC’s Gardening Australia, this unique event brings together over 200 local farmers, backyard growers, and eager gleaners for a delicious celebration of urban agriculture, native and seasonal ingredients, and sustainable food production.

The Social Food Project is once again partnering with the GLL to transform any leftover produce into delicious pickles and relishes! These will be given out for free on the day of the event.

Festival 21

Festival21 is a massive, grass-roots festival that tackles our greatest challenges through the language of food. This two day event has multiple sessions that have been carefully curated to address issues of climate change, social inclusion and population health through different lenses, with different solutions. Featuring international and local thought-leaders from health, environmental science, design, advocacy, social enterprise, policy, agriculture, hospitality, and the arts. 

The Social Food Project will be providing a ‘picnic dinner’ which includes two kinds of local cheese, bread roll, dip, vegetables, pickles, and fresh fruit, for one person ($20) or for two people ($35).

Introducing the Farmer to Table Dinner Series! 

Due to the success of our Farmer to Table Cooking Workshops, we are teaming up with CERES Community Environment Park to expand the concept to now include dinners. 

The format is simple: 3 farmers, 3 courses, 1 exceptional experience. 

The dinner will include 3 courses, each inspired by a local ethical producer. For our inaugural event, we will be highlighting Meg Stewart from Honey Lane Market Garden, Chris Balazs from Sage Choice and Rita Bikins from Red Rock Olives. 

The cost of dinner is $55 and includes 3 courses.

Beverages will be available to purchase at the bar. 

The evening will include a panel Q&A with the three producers, so come prepared with some good questions!
