from 120.00

Ray-Monde Deux was created with a mission to generate quality farm products, employing environmentally sound farming practices and targeting a niche market that is interested in knowing about the origins of their food and ensuring that it is all free range and well cared for: Happy, healthy and humane!

John Lakey is a modern-day farmer possessing a myriad of skills: oenology, viticulture, horticulture, and animal husbandry: “A very handy man”! He is an advocate for sustainable agriculture and has had the opportunity at the Bacchus Marsh farm to employ many of these principles in the Grow West re-vegetation project.

Growing up on a mixed farm gave him the skills of working with livestock and operating machinery to carry out everyday farm tasks. In 1988 John’s family decided to plant a vineyard. John took on the project with customary zeal that saw him enrol in the Wine Science Bachelor of Applied Science at Charles Sturt University. John went on to complete degrees in Wine Science and also Viticulture.

Now Ray-Monde Duex produces beefs, lamb, mutton, goat and wonderful red wine. A truely mixed farm!
